Please respond to this post and let me know ASAP if you are planning to attend so I can attempt to get a group rate on the rooms.

Which night do we want to get together:

Monday night prior to the Board meeting
or
Tuesday night after the meeting

Put together any questions or comments you might have for the Board or the division personnel.

Pam,

Don't feel bad, we are fighting an uphill battle. Appraisers are not intersted in attending board meetings because:

They have 15 years experience (or 6 months) and know everything.

Too busy.

Don't want their board to even know they exist.

It is a waste of time.

They are GOOD appraisers, they don't need to know all the rules, regulations and USPAP.

Don't like their state board members. (most like never met any of them)

Ignorance is bliss.

They don't EVER expect a complaint to filed against them.

State boards don't do anything

State boards do too much.

Making a good living, no need to rock the boat.

Can not afford to take a day off.

You name it and I have probably heard it. Appraisers have to be the most apathetic group their is.

Off to Atlanta today for the USPAP Instructors Course. See ya!

I'm here!

Sorry to take so long in answering. Yup, have actually been busy. I won't need a room since I live within driving distance. I'd prefer to get together after the meeting but can be flexible since I'm so close. Whatever the majority would prefer is fine with me. Of course, at this rate, it may be a "Florida Two-Step"!

See ya there Pam.

My apologies for missing today's Board meeting. I've had to deal with a small family crisis the past few days and I just could not break away. Frank, Pam - please forgive me! I'm sure I missed a good session.

Wally

Wally,

So sorry to hear you have family problems. Hope all clears up fast and you are forgiven.

You did miss a very good one! See the posts in the general forum.
