The idiot is starting to act like Biden! The 2026 midterms are fixing to be the most expensive in history if measured in terms of taxpayer funds wasted. Too bad no one in this administration is willing to explain that pouring gas on a fire is not a safety measure any more than subsidizing interest rates will lead to more affordable housing.

Ben Bernanke did it and it worked so why not use it again but i suspect this has more to do with the new Treasury plan on wanting to let loose of the GSE later this year and let private money purchase the new issues stock.

Powell is being investigated by the DOJ for lying to congress about the cost of renovations to the Fed. This not about interest rates BTW.

Don't know what he lied but government officials always underestimate costs.
Over a billion has been spent on CA high speed rail. By time its complete, it could be 4X as estimated. I be too old and feeble to ride the fast train to Disneyland.
