Please post links to samples of obscure music that you would like to recommend others to hear. I'll kick it off with a link to some samples of my favorite band, The Flower Kings.

There are a bunch of song samples at each of the links listed below. If your a fan of Genesis, Yes, Styx, Kansas, you'll definately want to take a listen, maybe just listen to hear what the radio won't play. Enjoy :new_silly:

I know the Left coasters are familiar, but I love DRAMARAMA.

Everybody Dies and It's Only Money are fantastic.

they are really an 80's band, but you can't tell the difference if you have never heard it before, very relevant.

If you are a fan of the Flower Kings I doubt this will be obscure to you, but I really like their album.

I've met Alan White and he was just the nicest guy.

For music loving appraisers, I highly recommend investing in XM, its the only place you can hear Dramarama (used to party with them in the 80's!), Be Bop Deluxe, Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan, D.A.D and thousands of other bands that aren't played on radio.

And you can hear every type of music out there, so if I want to hear some old country music, punk, death metal, new wave, big band, swing, whatever, they got it! Best business investment I ever made-helps me thru the long drives.

try www.pandora.com and set up you own radio stations. It plays music similar to the style of artist or song you start with. Then they will select music based on that style. If you like it check yes that you want that selection on the play list or no not to play again.
