Oh here is a Winning Idea!
A Local Mortgage Broker weasel just tried to get our office to sign an agreement that would allow them not to pay if the deal did not close. My Limited Appraiser brought this agreement home with promises of all the work we could do. I told my beguiled Limited 8O this was Illegal and as this individual was on the dead beat list we would not even do COD Business with him. I do not have the time to deal with them as you know it will be high pressure.
We would not pursue our fee if the deal fell apart? HMMM would not have anything to do with a predetermined value would it? The weasel is on our local TV Station stating I will pay an appraiser to come out to your house, no cost to you. Yea No cost to him either. We of course flushed this agreement down the toilet, after using it in an appropriate fashion.
We forwarded this agreement to a well-known Appraiser who knows how to deal with weasels. Who is forwarding this to the proper state agency. :twisted:
