"--a concern has been raised that mortgage brokers may focus more on the short-term profitability incurred at the origination of the loan rather than on the long-term performance of the loan since they (older borrowers) are intermediaries who do not hold loans through maturity, according to the PPI report".

Great story, considering AARP rarely gets it right and in this case they have got only half the truth.

Brokers always look at the short term with ALL Loans as you and others well know. Good to see they finally recognize that rate shopping just like all other forms of shopping has its disadvantages along with advantages.

Keep up the good work on information flow.
