How many actually use a PDA on site and sketching software on site. I found it worthless and too time consuming. Not to mention a strain on the eyes. Was this a marketing ploy that was really not worth its suggested benefits?

I am using pocket total on almost every inspection unless the property is complex or other significant factors cause me not to. Can not YET use pocket apex as it does not draw interior walls.

I use field pad extensively.

I've found that Seiko SamartPad2 works well and it has replaced my old clipboard. Has the ability to transmit what I write on the page back to the PDA and it has a larger keypad for entry.
