Does anyone except blind Terrel have problems even seeing PDA or Camera display screens outside? All I ever see is black with a bare little movement, I cannot believe it will speed up anything for me if I cannot see the screens. Between bright light and glasses glare, I'm shot out of the saddle. My digital pix are often just guesses, keying off a bright spot in the screen.

Me! I never use the digital display on my camera because I can't see it in any bright light. Even inside with a dim light it just a blur of colors on a screen and I can't distinguish if I have my thumb or a tree in the way of the house. So I take several views of each item I am photographing, and I download all, choose the best one to put in a report! I'll never use a hand held or a laptop for the same reason. An expensive blur doesn't do me any good. :D

What a relief! I thought I was the only blind appraiser (yeah, a few owners have even brought it to my attention).

Quit using my PDA (early Casio) due to lack of clarity in outdoor light. Am told that the new PDAs (color screens) do work much better.

To compound the problem when focusing, the Kodak 280 has a small screen located right where my proboscis leaves its print. I love the camera except for the location of that #@** screen.

USE some of that hard earned chicken house appraisal money and buy the Sony MVC-FD91-It has a dual viewfinder- the regular AND a hooded one for such as you talk about.

Pay a little more and get the Sony MVC-CD200 and it has a light on the screen that you can read the dates on the stools.

Get the 505 PDA, (The new Lock Box System)and even I can see the screen.

Them coal oil lamps are out of date.ed in arkansas

My camera has settings to improve the viewer brightness and contrast. I have to change the factory settings in order to see the screen in bright light.

DOn't know what your all using, but I use the DC215 and it works fine, if it's bright out I cup my hand around the viewer and lean over it - works fine, see everything.
