One of the most devastating fires was the so-called Valley Fire in Lake County in late 2015. Thousands of homes and businesses went up. I was using comps where the photos showed only rubble.

Hot tub wiring problem started the fire.

But the electric is off,
so the wiring can't spark anything.

If you were capable of second level thinking you'd understand that you are already paying, but you're not getting.

Speaking of caves, people who live in the tech capital of the world San Francisco are indeed living like cavemen on this day in 2019 thanks to this awesome system we have.

I haven't visited anyone in San Fran in a long time.

But people from Texas, to Florida, Maryland to Maine, Arkansas to Illinois aren't crying over your black out. And are just giggling over no rain or snow, or flooding, that should make you more comfortable in your cave.

Life must be tough.

lol... this was 4 years ago. No wind. Just a jury-rigged hot tub. The power would not have been off.

Lightning causes a lot of fires.

Power line fires are rare when you consider how large the grid is. But a few of them got a lot of attention.

Climate change??? Geez, Nature just had to admit, after a year, that they must retract a huge article about sea levels rising 3'. It took a blogger math guy 2 weeks to detect the error but Nature magazine took 10 more months to admit the article was a complete fabrication. But the damage is done. People are living in fear that the oceans will rise catastrophically... they won't unless we are struck on Greenland or the Antarctic ice sheets by a huge hot comet or asteroid. That is now a hypothesis why the Younger Dryas exists, a sudden warming due to a rapid melting of the Canadian Ice Sheet. Those events are unknowable nor are they predictable.
While our president returns to 18th century coal.

If it gets cold, they can just burn the feces readily available in the streets of San Fran. It does burn, learned it in the Scouts. Always wondered why erry body spends so much on treatment when they could dry it and use it as a fuel source. Talk about sustainable energy sources. Fat folks wouldn't be so ostracized if they ate for the public good...
