I know where you're at with all those Sketch pages that think they are photo pages, etc., but aren't. It was so hard to get used to.
But unlike you, I guess, I go to the day's photo folder and copy their photo number onto the material I used in the field. Becaue the photo number will never change and it's easy to pick them off because they are in the order of my trip around town.
Exactly, I plunk the camera down into its dock-bed and push the download button on the dock at the second motion. Next time I touch the camera or its dock is when I'm picking it up to go somewhere. No worries about do the right thing.
I do one thing different than you, I never give the photo an address per se. I use the photo numbers to select it out of Browse and drag it to its picture address location. That way, the property address "attached" to the picture is only the one captured from the grid. So, also, I've not tried to place the photos anywhere until the photo page is setup from the info captured from the grid. If I want to look at the comp before it gets put into the appraisal grid capture or during report prep process, I pop down at the bottom of the screen to the Kodak (in my case) editor, which I usually leave open once it's been used the first time.
I called a la mode several times, but couldn't get my mind around whatever they were talking about. They knew what I was talking about, but I couldn't understand what they were talking about.
Also, I'm on my second new camera since March '02. Now I'm using a DX3600. Little better pixel, but not that much different than the DX3215.
