I remember when we had to go to that court house to look at tax records and plats. What a shame so much history was destroyed due to the fire.

I testified in a law suit in that courhouse. The courtroom was straight out of Matlock, and the building had a unique "cachet". I don't know that the county has found the money to stabilize the building from further waste - the roof isn't covered, and if it is to be repaired it probably will be a complete restoration (car guys would call it a "frame off" rebuild).

I get the efficiency of county data being available on line, but I missed the serendipity of the registers office and what could be learned by simply listening to the courthouse gossip. I"Things ain't like they used to be, but then they never were.")

Not a good day. Cold and raw. A friend, a Vietnam Vet, suffered from both PTSD and agent orange poison. Very poor health, 2 heart attacks, 2 strokes, the third stroke got him Xmas Eve. He had a full funeral and was laid to rest carried to the cemetery in a deuce. As I left the cemetery, I got a text from a retired appraiser from the area, her husband, another classmate from my High School had died. He too had agent orange issues, and had a stroke about 7 or 8 years ago and been in a wheelchair ever since.

Dryer wasn’t working well, pulled the hose, totally clogged due to dryer vent and flu not lining up. Open up the wall and flue to extend it down, and decided to clean the flu. This is what I got out. Dryer works much better now. Imagine that. 5264A98B-FDBD-4F7C-82D3-5F0B6B898629.jpeg

I'm sure Elliott will be able to recognize this. They bring back fond memories for me but are becoming very rare.
