It says I can bring a financial calculator - do I have to bring a FINANCIAL calculator? I know I can't bring an Alpha programmable calculator (i.e. my TI-83) but can I bring this little 4 function numerical calculator from my office?
Does anyone know?

Liz, the testing center I went to had a list of approved calculators. You could call them and ask if your calculator is accepted. Like you said, the only ones I'm sure they don't allow are the programmable types.

FTR... I used a cheap TI-1795 that just does basic functions. For the CR test, I found I didn't need anything else. The testing center provides an amortization table for the few finance questions that are on the exam.

You can bring in a 4 function calculator. They will want to look at it and approve it. I used an HP12c. It saved my rear when it came to the financing questions. I had never been trained in those tables that they provide you with.

10b2 financial calc. That is a good one.

I think I'll call and ask if I'd be okay with my Sharp Elsi Mate EL-377M 10 digit Twin Power Calculator.
lol...
