Hey Af-
Completed a Conventional assignment-borrower got married I guess prior to the appraisal and after she purchased the subject house-I asked for a copy of title-could locate it on there-(the married name)-only the maiden name-they said they wanted to send over the drivers license-can we accept that? This whole thing hurts my head already! Any thoughts?

Hey Marion-
Sorry- I guess I should have clarified.. the lender/AMC wants the named changed to the new name as the borrower-county records all reflect the maiden name-we need other documentation from the bank.. couldn't locate it on title-AMC suggested just the DL.. i'm scratching my head on that one since I don't trust any AMC's anymore..
We need the info to reflect on the title, correct?

I like to add a comment in an addendum about the difference in the names of the borrower when something like this happens. It stops those conditions after the fact.
Yep!

Why is putting the married name of the borrower in the borrower-identification block a problem?
