I just came in the mail here at the office. There were a whole lot of fines passed out for appraisers not taking the required CE, plus a decent amount of suspensions and revocations.

I saw that. And yet a certain Mr. Robert G. Buckles, Jr. on Monticello remained untouched. Despite the findings of state investigators, he had "political connections" and was able to avoid the sanctions they sought. It makes you wonder if the system is really working up there in Albany.

Well it's been two years since the last newsletter, I figured that there would be a whole bunch of fines and suspensions piling up. They have not posted the PDF on the website yet.

Like I told the Long Island Gang at our December lunch together, it takes 2 1/2 years to run a spell check before sending out the newsletter.

The fines, etc must span a long time frame - many of the names were listed on the last newsletter. The web site is decimated.

No newsletter today. I'm just curious as to the current licensee numbers. Has there been a decline in trainees? How many if any licensed/cert have fallen off?

I don't have it in front of me, but I think the # of trainees declined, but the # of CRs, CGs and licensed increased. Overall # of appraisers declined.
