Just received the following e-mail regarding evidently a new appraisal group trying to form here in the Richmond area. I assume it is open to any residential appraisers out there. Don't know any other info. I'm going to try to attend. Liz S.

Liz, this sounds very interesting. Unfortunatley I had surgery on my legs today and there is no way I would be able to attend. If you end up going I would really appreciate it if you could catch me up on what its all about. I mainly do commercial and eminent domain work but I do a little residential as well and would like to know what all is going on these days.

Pat Turner was the principal guide for the mtg. The major item discussed was re: when you send a report through most of these management cos that they readily 1) strip data, 2) remove data such as maps, extra comps, photos etc from reports 3) they change the reports around before they are sent to the final clients. Given this, and Pats position on the board, there is concern about how we can as a group stand up to these clients. Everyone is encouraged to attend a committee mtg of the appraisal board on 7/23/2008 at 1 pm at DPOR on Mayland Drive here in Richmond.
