thanks.

Thanks for the thread.

I am still haunted by that day and lost many from my childhood, high school and college.

I just want to remember an old friend - Steven Siller - he was a firefighter who had just got off duty and went back to help at the towers. His memory is kept alive each year with the Tunnel to the tower run.

pray for those who have perished and their families

Back in the Dark Ages when TV used to sign off at 2 AM. A lot of stations would play the National Anthem and some would run the High Flight video. http://www.skygod.com/quotes/highflight.html

They should bring that back, show it every night at midnight along with the towers burning so we never forget.

My sincere condolences to all the victims.....and especially to FDNY who gave up their lives so others can live....

I received a MP3 file from an Hatzolah member of the Hatzolah Dispatch on 09/11, it's very interesting to listen to, will take you back in time and give you an idea of what the emergancy services went through that day.

There was some tense moments when many of the units were trapped when the building collapsed next to them.
It's widely believed that the Hatzolah ambulance was the first on scene.
Hatzolah is the largest all volunteer ambulance corp. in the US.
Fortunately none of its members were killed, although many were injured.
If you listen to it, H-base is referring to the dispatcher, and "bus" is referring to an ambulance.
