Having never been to Florida...I am curious.

Who lives near the Launch Pad and what do you think about these 2:30AM blast-offs? Does this help or hurt values?

I was thinking about setting the alarm to get up and watch it from my back yard. I don't think I'll hear much from here. There is a 'sonic boom' when it lands though.

I would love to see it in person...I was just wondering how happy folks are about a 2:30am lift-off!

I'm quite a few miles away, so not sure about those that live close. When I did go there to watch a lift-off up close, it really wasn't anywhere near as loud as I thought it would be.

Don't let Pam fool you. That was either Jim or Tut rumbling.

I often can feel the rumble in Orlando.

Throttle up, NASA.

I'd love to see that just once. Every once in a while, we get the "boom" when the shuttle lands at Andrews AFB out here.

I can see night launches from up here north of Gainesville, a long way away. I cant hear them though. I would love to get down there.

I have seen 2 of the night time liftoffs while vacationing in Florida and they were magnificent! Nothing at all like the daytime launches.

I love the NASA Channel...

It always kills me to watch the shuttle graphics as the shuttle defies all logic...it would seem.

It flys/orbits upside down and backwards.

I understand why...but it is funny to build basically a "plane" that does everything opposite. :rof: Somehting wrong with this picture!
