If you haven't done so PLEASE complete this survey as we are gathering data to send to the congressional people from their meeting the other day. This will be compiled and sent to them via the AGA (American Guild of Appraisers) who got special permission to send in their own info since no appraiser was represented in the witness panel. More surveys and comment links will follow. This is just a basic survey. Thanks.

Good luck getting the Republicans who control Congress to actually care about anything sent in by your union

I filled it out but likely a futile cause. Still, never hurts to try maybe one person listens and has a tiny bit of influence.

It seemed to me that the one person at the hearing representing appraisers whose written statement and testimony advocates on the side of appraisers was the attorney from West Virginia. She mentioned the Appraisers petition and keeping FIRERA and did not appear to be advocating any self serving interests

It doesn't matter. Nothing about this new admin is about protecting the consumer , protecting the public trust, (they will decimate funding for the consumer protection bureau) and they are anti regulation. Which means anti appraisers, as appraisers are part of the regulatory environment. As is PMI insurance.

And the Dems who've been reigning for the last 8 years did better?

The dems have not reigned in congress ( had a majority) since 2011.

By the way. This is in response to the congressional hearing the other day. Did you watch it?? The panel members gave us special permission to submit our thoughts to them. And since the AGA is for independent Appraisers I'm doing my part to help supplement the issues by getting it straight from appraisers. Either you can help, laugh or be an *** about it. At least I am trying.
