Thanks Pam. That's a good reminder of what to look for in older or mid-aged homes. I'm also glad the author didn't hit the panic button. ASBESTOS :eyecrazy: !! Like he said, as long as it is contained, and the HO's aren't poking at it, no problems...... just keep it "encapsulated".

Besides, I grew up in a house with some asbestos.......... and I turned out okay. :rotate: :silly: :scrambled:

never bothered me, me, me, ahhhhh, I mean me! No disclosure information required for ceilings here. Same is true for asbestos siding. No big deal.

Just use a mask if you strip it just in case. Otherwise, it's not a problem.

Au contraire!

Not just any mask. Asbestos is these tiny, tiny fibers.

You need a special mask to ensure your health.

Those little floating fibers also get on your skin and are hard to wash off.

Remember, once you suck the fibers into the lungs, they remain there until your 'end time.'

it's a very serious issue that ought not be treated lightly.
