Thanks for letting me participate. Hope I'll be able to make a positive contribution as time goes by.

For the moment, I have 15 orders on my desk and a nice letter from my former employer's attorney that needs my attention. But that's another story!

I'll be back soon..............

I have 4 to write up, three to go see Monday and 6 more waiting for appointments. The other two guys in this office are just as swamped. If I could find someone I trusted, I would hire them! Do you work by yourself? I keep thinking it will slow down!

Judy,

I work with two others. It was a bit up and down Jan-Mar, but the last few weeks have been a bit crazy. Oh, well, been too windy to be out in the boat anyway! :(

My Jan - Apr was kind of slow. Sitting on 6 orders at the moment and this feels better.

I very seriously doubt I will ever take on another trainee ever again!!!

We completed 161 reports in April, which was our highest month ever. We are on track to exceed that in May. It is 50/50 sales and refi's.
The only difference between weekdays and weekend is the phone doesn't ring while I'm working.

We are running about 80 orders per month between the three of us. I do less than the others, as I have so many admin things to do. I don't think I can do more than that without help. I also would hire another appraiser at this point if I could find someone I could trust but would rather have a certified, not a trainee.

I finally have WinTotal up and running, but have one appraiser that is extremely, extremely computer challenged and spend most of my day helping him. He just yells for me and cusses, rather than try to figure it out himself. If I'm not there, he has no choice but to try and figure it out, or call support. I have now paid the computer tech two fees to come in and show him how to download his camera, but he STILL can't do it! All of these things really slow you down!

Judy,

Feel free to email me anytime if you or your staff have questions about WinTotal. I am by NO means an expert, but have been using it about three years with no problems (knocking on a lot of wood here!) Also, have you checked out the WinTotal user's group on Yahoo? A lot of very helpful folks there willing to help those new to the system as well as more advanced users. If you haven't already, take a look at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Total2000UsersGroup/

Be sure to check out the "Files" section, too.

Good luck.

Wally
