For the choice few of you that still do work for or just get their amusing appraisal requests, you'll shake your head on this item.

Of course, this comes from Valuation Support Services, which is Rels, which is Wells Fargo.
The new email from VSS discusses the upcoming changes to the Acknowledgement Process & VSS Website.

Not to bore you anymore than is needed, but it actually states this will improve the overall process and streamline the acceptance process and improve the assignment process going forward. That's mumbo jumbo for: More Garbage YOU have to do to make our job easier.

The email alone is over a page long just explaining and lightly discussing the new process.

And here's the icing on the cake. They attach the new "VSS Acknowledge Process Reference Guide v06.2015 to the email.

Ready for this....the instructions; yes JUST THE INSTRUCTIONS in the PDF, on how to use the new VSS Field Pro appraisal acceptance/decline process is..................29 FREEKING PAGES LONG!

Kirk out....

Do they pay reasonable fees in your area, they dont' pay reasonable fees in my area so I don't accept their work and they informed me I am not on their "preferred" panel since I would not agree to their regular low fee... I deleted that email , they do call me a few times a year when they are desperate and only then will they pay a fair fee, last one I did for them 6 months ago.

Beware of their "independent" appraiser Indemnification Clause - suggest having their panel agreement reviewed by your E&O Company.

That's nothing compared to the Pro Crapulence upload system. :mad2:
They pay decent fees here. That is the saving grace. Just.

I hope they get nailed on the C&R like Coester did, that's the next "new frontier".

The whole point I'm trying to make is, the majority of appraisers I know dumped them over a year ago. But, we all still get their "We're making everything better." emails and phone messages for a request in your area. Sheesh, 14-16 pages of stips and now 29 pages of how to just accept the order? I think I'll go pound my head against the brick wall for the same amount of time spent.

I think Mike may have touched on a new facet for lawyers of E & O companies to offer: For $5 per assignment, our lawyer will also review the fine print of all appraisal order requests, stipulation sheets, and overall general requirement set forth to determine the willingness of this E & O Corporation to cover your rear upon your acceptance and completion of the submitted appraisal report.

Must be nice to be a big bank and have a management company in the back pocket. See HVCC and the Franky Doddy Act for more details.
