"Please do NOT encrypt or lock your PDF transmission to us as we cannot transmit it to the client in such a state"

Now, if that isn't a bunch of c*ap.

When we submitted hard copies, it was always easy to white out, type over then fax it once then copy it and nobody can tell the difference that the form has been altered. Likewise, In the military, I never believed an original copy of anything.
It had to be faxed, copied and written on to look and be genuine. Just look at the review appraisals you do--it's about the third fax of the sixth copy and only God knows if the numbers have been altered. So be it!!

I'm sitting here posting when I should be completing the review that sits here staring me in the face. But everytime I look at what portion of the report was forwarded to me, I get discouraged. Sixth copy indeed! This one looks like it's been photocopied SIXTY times! It's barely legible.

I've just got to stop taking these things.

If I can't read them, I won't do the review. I tell the client to give me a good, legible report or EDI the original in PDF format.

There's an old street saying, that if you don't want your house broken into-leave the door unlocked-scares em off.

If they want to steal your work - you ain't stoppin em 8) will the real slim shaddy please stand up

I agree that if someone wants to somehow steal a report, there is nothing anyone can do to stop them.

Many years ago, a crooked loan officer in town changed a commercial report on a local tavern. He didn't like the estimated value, so he put his own in. This stuff happens and EDI/PDF or whatever is not going to stop it, only change the methods.
