This year better for appraising

I recall 5 burgers for $1.00 back in the early 60s. Mustard only, no veggies. Pop from a machine was 6 cents or 10 cents depending. The best was the 6 oz coke from machines for a dime. The cola frosted over when you opened the bottle top.

I know this is a location thing but saying pop instead of soda gives my douche chills, lol I've never heard that here. If someone said soda out there are they looked at like they're a crazy person?

If someone said soda
"Soda Pop" was a common term for non-Cola carbonated drinks. Strawberry, Grapette or Nugrape, orange .... all were called soda pop. "Coke" was pretty much meaning a Coca-Cola, "RC" was called that. Pepsi was not common when i was a child. When I went to Colorado on field trip all the vending machines were all Pepsi, something we didn't gag down well. That's when I switched to Coors. A sixpack of bottles (11 oz) were $1.10 in the liquor store. A Pepsi (12 oz) was 25 cents cold. Beer was cheaper. (circa 1972)

We say pop. When I was in Southern Illinois, I said pop and blew the minds of the locals, but soda is definitely not frequently said here.

I remember someone posting a receipt online last year for their McDonald's meal at $17 and everyone was making a big deal about it. It doesn't seem THAT long ago that McDonalds had value meals for $1.99 -$2.99.

The link above suggests that McDonalds prices increased by about 20% from 2020 - 2024, and I'd venture that they've gone up since 2024 also.
I remember when the movies were a .25 cents. We should stop saying "prices have gone up". Say the dollar has been debased or going down would be more accurate.
