I have a lender who is asking if a triplex can go FHA. I believe it can if one unit is owner occuppied. Is this correct?

Liz:

FHA will insure loans on 2-4 units. I do believe that at least one unit has to be owner occupied.

Liz,

FHA will insure 1-4 units and I don't think they require the owner to reside in one of them. To be sure, you might call your HOC to confirm the owner part.
