DESCRIPTION: Home mortgage fraud has become a headline issue across the country, and for appraisers the watchwords are property flipping, inflated appraisals, and artificially inflated appraisal transactions. This seminar examines home mortgage fraud from a real estate professional's point of view, and through numerous illustrations will help identify probable issues in both the appraisal and mortgage lending industries. At times appraisers as well as other real estate professionals, investors and mortgage originators may unwittingly find themselves in situations leading to charges of home mortgage fraud. Learn your rights, and when outside help is required. This seminar provides helpful resource materials for the real estate professional. Students are asked to bring a financial calculator.
