New U.S. single-family home sales jumped to a seven-month high in February, suggesting the housing market recovery continued to gain momentum despite the challenges of high prices and tight inventories. Other data on Thursday showed an unexpected increase in the number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits last week. Sales were up 12.8 percent compared to the same month last year, showing the housing market's resilience.

Apparently some cooking going on when they aren't eating out! :rof:February job numbers were real (although similar numbers from last February were cooked) but current news on unemployment isn't real! I get it.

Do we still have 25% unemployment?

Lying is the new normal and some embrace it ardently! :rof::rof:

It could be that jobless claims are up as folks go back to looking for work after all hope was lost under Obama.:rof:

Or it could be that retirees, high school students, and stay at home moms (all included in a certain someone's estimated of 42% unemployment:rof:) feel the need to earn something to help pay for health insurance if the new healthcare bill is enacted.

I was going to say real estate is up due to foreign buyers, just like in the '80s,

and unemployment is up because all those folks that were tied to their unfulfilling jobs because of the perks and health insurance, decided to quit those jobs now that they can buy their own health insurance,

well,

at least until there is a health insurance company that will sell them a policy, that is.

Yup,

Better grab that benefit now. Quit being tied to jobs with health insurance.
