I now have two usernames. I tried with my regular username being Glenn S but it states that the e-mail I provided was not correct. I tried every e-mail that I have (3). None of them worked. How can this be rectified :?:

You made a typo when entering your email address on your Glenn S profile. It has been corrected. The email address is: valspec@wi.rr.com

After numerous attempts, I finally logged on under my user name and old password. Wrote a response post in the urgent help column, hit preview and got kicked out. Lost the post, and could not log back in. Tried changing the password, activated the site and had trouble getting logged on.

What is the deal?

Tom, check "log me in automatically" the next time you log in. Otherwise after a certain period of time it will log you out for security purposes. If you will check "log me in automatically" you will never have to log in again!

The only reason not to use automatic log in is if you share a computer with someone else and are afraid of them using your user name to post.

Another thing: IF you have cookies disabled in your web browser or if you delete your cookies you will need to log in again.

Now for your immediate problem do this:

Close your web browser completely (all browser windows)

Go back to the forum. Log in again with the user name and password that you got in the email. User names and passwords are case sensitive and have to be entered EXACTLY, no trailing or leading spaces, extra periods or none of that.

Then check the "automatic" feature and you won't have any more problems.
