Hello, everyone

I'm wondering whether I really need a clone. Can anyone point me to where the clone functionality is explained? The appraisers I'm learning from are using clones but I'm not entirely sure I need them.
What if I'm using a clk from which I deleted all the unneeded info (subject, contract, neighborhood, sales, and so on)?

Thanks
Christian

Templates are far superior to clones. I created them for the small towns I worked and used drp down menus. It may not be faster but it is far less likely to have a huge gaff in a missed deletion.

Thanks, I'll look into them. I haven't used templates yet.
But even with clones, mine is empty, so that I don't have to wonder whether it's this report or the previous one.

Clones (Clickforms) is an excellent tools for specific assignments. It basically opens up an exact copy, unsaved and unnumbered.

I work direct for one bank that has a bunch of non-performing loans. Every three months I do the same houses over and over, up to 3-5 time each, in the span of a year.

Cloning a report is perfect for this process. Change the file #, delete the photos and other dated comps/mc/raw data search, signature date. Run some new comps using a saved search on the MLS (change the search start data) and, sometimes, you end up using one or two of the comps again.

Once or twice on a purchase or refi assignment, I had the opportunity to use the clone on an old (up to 24 months old) and had to go over it better (taxes, verify improvement amenities, etc), but it saved a good 30+ minutes of production.

I really like the comprehensive database you can create along with auto adjustments. FAST, time saving options.

GREAT software.

Like T says, I use the 'Template' option too.

Great for FHA assignments or clients that like odd forms (name them ABC Bank 2055 or something). Easy to set up, with all the proper pages built in, ready to go.

Thank you for taking the time to give a detailed answer.
In this case, I think I can just use a stripped down report and just save it under a new name for regular reports, no need to go through the clone wizard.
