Yeah that's right....listen to this.....
Did an assignment for a purchase 3 months ago. Came in (you guessed it) below sale price. Got hammered for 3 days by agents....got sent UNComparables by the dozen. Stuck to my guns......Agent said you either change the value and use my comps or I'll get another appraiser.
That's the last I heard......until today.
A NEW lender requested MY appraisal be put in their name (Yes, I got a letter of release from original client). Apparently this NEW company got both appraisals but the other one was "unusable" even though it "came in" at the realtor-annointed value.......tried to find out who the "other" appraiser was but was told "that's all I can say."
I told them to send the check for the appraisal + retype fee. Happens once in a while....
