I am a Wall Street Journal reporter looking for appraisers who've helped out with family transactions for an article I'm writing -- that is, parents who have had their homes appraised so they could sell them to their children. I can be reached by email at [email protected] or by phone at 212-416-3917. Thank you.

I am an appraiser in North Carolina who has done practically nothing but "litigation" (non-banking or lending) appraising for the past 13 years.

I have done a few appraisals for parents selling homes to kids, none recently, and literally hundreds of appraisals for divorces, death estates and long term estate planning.

If you will give me an idea of the type of information you are looking for, I will try to assist or answer if I can.
