Seems someone is always posting about Ala Môde software, lesser degree about ACI...but even recognizing Clickforms is a smaller outfit, the last post in that forum was in June. I'm just asking ... correlation?

I dunno actually. Voted the apple pie and ice cream guys cuz I use their programs.
Used ACI until about 2.5 years ago. My only comparison. Don't know the other companies.

I want to know why or maybe how, I see an ad below this post from Jennie-O. Who's she?
See why millions already love Turkey. (duh.)
Make the switch. From what? They do not say. :peace:

I'm a big fan of (as Lee puts it):
the apple pie and ice cream guys
(Nice one Lee)

I tried ACI probably 8 or 9 yrs ago bc a client required reports sent via them. No joy. Didn't like it. Sticking with the dessert company! haha

I have used ALM since the early 90's. I tried a couple others and was forced into using ACI for one client (former). Software is a very personal experience so you really have to just try them and decide. I'll use ALM until they pry my cold dead fingers off the keyboard.

TOTAL 2013 has been pretty solid for my firm. Still has some bugs in it but for the most part I like how comprehensive it is, especially the E&O check. Expensive but worth it. My 2015 cost for 2 licenses, AppraisalPort, and Vault back-up was $1,187. It will be higher this year because I had to upgrade the Vault with more capacity.

Then can someone explain why so few people seem to have no tech issues with Clickforms. Everyone else seems to complain about tech calls, lost files, missing maps. Again I am not asking which software does the most, is faster, etc. Which one is most trouble free? Has the fewest glitches? Easiest to load, operate and requires the least tech calls. I used Clickforms from 1995 til 2012. The only call I ever made to tech was to move the program to a new computer.

The only issues with clickforms is when I change hardware and it is solved with a 10 minute tech call. It's a simple copy paste of the database that I seem to forget how to do.
Great help and solid software. 10+ year client here.

Edit to add that the updates seem to keep ahead of any bugs. Worth every penny.

My bad, thought this discussion would include WordPerfect vs MS Office. I am sticking with ACI, since 1989, called them today (a Sunday) for support, answered my call with zero minutes on hold. :)

What is your total yearly cost for ALM?
