Notice the 50% and 25% jump in applications in 2015. Also two 20% jumps in 2016. Notice the white noise for applications in 2017. The "Appraiser Shortage, The Sky is Falling" corresponded to extraordinary increases in applications, and then mortgage activity returned to the norm. I don't know why ASB doesn't understand the business environment.

If there were a real shortage of appraisers, nationwide, broadcast orders would go begging. Turn times would be 4 weeks or more. Since the volume of appraisal orders appears constant, I would not expect turn times or AMC orders to change.
