While opening the "What are you packing" thread in the General Appraisal forum a cookie for tavma.org popped up. It wasn't a fluke as it happened again when I re-opened the thread.

Question: Why does tavma.org (Title/Appraiser Vendor Management Association) want to place a cookie on my computer? Was this with your blessing? And if so, why a tavma cookie in the "What are you packing" thread and no others?

If there is a problem with a post use the "report post" icon from within the problem post so I will get a direct link to it and can look at it.

I know nothing about any cookie from anywhere except appraisersforum.com

To the OP:

You reported this post as the problem post:
http://appraisersforum.com/showthread.php?p=1621195#post1621195

I can not see similar results as you got. It did not set a cookie on my computer when I clicked that link.

Anyway, it is nothing that the forum caused. A user who posts an image from other sites can cause a cookie to be set BY THE OTHER SITE. The only cookies we set are labeled as appraisersforum.com

It might be somewhere within that 11 page thread but I don't have time go through it. Anyway, there is no harm that I can see it's just like when you visit any web page you decide whether or not to allow the cookie.

Thanks you for your response Wayne

I received the cookie request when I clicked the thread title "What are you packing" in the General Appraisal Discussion section. Since it's not possible to report a thread I reported the first post. Sorry is that was a faux pas, please go back to sipping your umbrella drink.

BTW I'm not sure if tavma.org and guns are a good mix in the same topic of an appraisers' discussion :new_smile-l:
