Just got a call from Cocamar (?) asking if I'd do
a "442" ? My reply was, "I only do finals and
updates for my own reports. "This guy is from
the real Big City." "Sorry, No." Really, you can't
help me out?" I said, "sorry, bye."

What is your policy?

Elliott I would only feel safe doing one for George Hatch. The rest of you would have to cut your vacation short and do it yourself.

I recieved a call not too long ago from a company, (sorry can't remember) wanting us to do several 1004D's. I believe the fee was around $55.

I explained to them that;
a. The fee is too low
b. I would first need the original appraisal and the builders plans and specs.

The gentleman on the phone stated; all that is necessary is for you to go out and make sure the house is complete.

I asked "How do I know what was intended to be built? via square footage, foot print, materials etc....

He quickly said ok, thank you and good bye!

Yep, I will not sign off anyone elses work. Where are the original appraisers?

The original appraisers have probably been blacklisted or had their licensed revoked.

It is my opinion that anyone who signs off on anyone else's work is a fool to do so...why would anyone take on the liability, especially for the paltry sums involved?

Bucks is alive!

The snowplow must have broken through to the ranch.

**********

I don't think I would do one now though I have done a couple in the past 15 years. Too much riding on the other guys report being accurate, etc.

Call Skippy. He'll do it. He'll do anything.

Wow, that's huge. They offer us a whopping $35. Used to pay $100 but since they moved to India the rate has been cut.
