Which AMC demands the most and pays the least?

Do not work for any, so I do not know! Do not care to work for low fees and hasseling from phone monkeys!

I only work with one AMC. They pay me full fee plus I add $25.00 because it takes them about 45 days to pay. They are in the lending business, not me! This company was not listed in your poll.

Over the years I have reviewed several applications from numerous AMC's. TransUnion has the most condescending application I have ever read. I felt degraded and insulted just considering inclusion on that list. I would bus tables or work at the car wash before I joined that group. At least I could maintain some pride and dignity.

Roy,

I hear you. I currently work with only 1 AMC. They pay me my full fee and I jump through hoops for them.

I'm not against AMCs per say, just the ones who demand a bunch of "assignment conditions", and then cancel the order if you will not do it for 250 bucks or less.

The ones we fired first were eappraiseit, then Valocity, then TransUnion. LSI was fired just recently.

Thanks for sharing that info Chuck, I think it is important for other appraisers to know which AMCs consistently jerk the appraiser around and beat them up on fees.

Valocity is the worst. Always nagging fee and turn time, plus they PUSH VALUE! We did a 2055 Exterior for BoA through them that appraised for less than the target value and they refused to pay for it! The invoice is still unpaid, they erased our order from their system, and assigned a 1004 to Ms Skippie from Washington State who used a comp 15 miles away, and we have not heard from them since. PAM?

We did work for LSI years ago when they made you bill them on a spreadsheet at the end of every month. On our first call from them the guy tried to lock us in at a lower fee for all future orders but I said no. If you did the job at the first of the month and billed at the end of that month, you would not get paid for over 60 days from report delivery. We fired them.

I have not responded to email invitations from eAppraiseIT on the advice of this forum.

Never heard of GreenLink.

PS Mail is here and I see TransUnion has paid $300 for my 100 mile "trip fee" on an order that was cancelled after the appointment time. American General Financial found out that Skippy was not appraising the subject for them so they switched AMCs without telling anyone and the owner refused entry to us. Not TUs fault, but they still paid for our wasted day. Awesome!

Don't work for them.....

so I cannot say yeah or nah about any of them.

Tami,

I totally understand about your comments about LSI & eAppraiseIT.

I was exposed to AMCs 7 years ago when the former company I use to work for, LandAmerica OneStop (formerly Primis & Premier Appraisals) was spun off and formed as a joint venture for the company now called eAppraiserIT.

My former boss/supervisor accepted a job with LSI in charge of appraisal quality control.

At first I thought this was going to be a good thing by gaining 2 new clients who had lots of big name volume clients.

I thought for sure they would be looking for good appraisers who new a particular market area.

However, in order to get any of their business I had to be cheap. So I was cheap for a year or two until I could take anymore of being overworked and underpaid.

As a result I raised my fees and didn't care if I got the work or not. And no doubt the orders stopped coming.

Here is what I never understood. The county in which I'm from, live in, and appraise in, is located between the Triangle & Triad market areas. It never failed that they would hire a cheaper appraiser from these market areas who knew very little about my market area, to appraise.
