I was interested in what some on the forum here think about the overall effect on one's health in this profession and if working for AMC's has had an negative effect on one's overall mental and physical health?

Question 1: Are appraisers more prone to negative health due to work related stress?

#1. Any business will, if YOU let it get you down and suck the enjoyment of life out of every day.

#2 No. I use technology to respond as soon as possible to all clients, and use auto responses in emails so phone monkeys can log in a status report to make their monkey bosses happy. Even used Twitter today from my cell phone to respond to one client while boating around on the lake with my kids.
