AQB Seeking To Lower Appraiser Qualifications

Why not? They have nothing better to do. And licensing fees from real property appraisers is a large source of their income, gotta’ pump out more puppies!

Residential doesn't need college degrees A high school graduate should have the ability to be trained.

Our best appraisers were mostly guys with no degrees but some served a few years in military or other jobs. Also most of our degrees are in things that have no relevancy in appraisal work.

Mine was liberal art's degree with Sociology and History...my partners was in theology so go figure.

Form filling and exporting data from MLS is not a skilled profession.

I'm surprised they didn't just secretly change it behind the scenes like how they did with qualitative adjustments.

The survey is for 'stakeholders,' not for appraisers.
I wouldn't be concerned I don't think there is a rush of people trying to become appraisers . Lol

ASB - No, your professional appraisal experience cannot be used to develop assignment results!
AQB - Hear me out, maybe experience as a roofer should count?
