Hello All,

I am both new to the Forum and this thread :new_newbie: . I'm a residential appraiser here in Indy. Not the best time to be in the market, but I'd love to hear from fellow Hoosiers!

Hey Appraisal Twin. Welcome to the forum. This place is a great resource to gain knowledge and ask questions.

You're right about the market being tough. Best of luck to you.

Could be a lot of tax work available in the coming months when people find out that there tax assessments did not change.

The state of Indiana raised property tax up 24% on average this year.More to come next year.I ran a small ad in the local newspaper about getting a appraisal to protest the property tax increase and have had so far 4 appraisal asignments from that small ad.

Ken, I had considered doing that, had an ad lined up until the governor put a halt on everything. Perhaps all of us appraisers here on the form ought to get together and do a group advertisement for tax work!!
