Is this a 1/2 bath.

You got a place to do business and wash up afterwards. Of course some people don't wash their hands after doing business. LOL

It has functional utility as a .5 bath.

It is not like an outhouse bath. LOL

Makes me think of some really large public restrooms. You have to walk a piece from the toilet to the sink in some of them.

You can't wash your clothes in them if you messed them up.

It is souped up 1/2 bathroom with free laundry. LOL

If you have company in the basement level rear yard, do you want them going to the 2nd level to use the bathroom, to have them looking at your rooms. Thinking more clearly now, it does have privacy value. I thank da posters here who helped clear the temporary fog i got on this one.

For $400 it's a half bath.

I love it. I haven't seen that. You don't have a soap dish or bottled soap on top but it's perfect. LOL

Surely that sink drains behind the toilet and not in the tank. But that is pretty cool.

You do your business. You wash your hands and say bye. LOL

Takes functional to new level. LOL

Just need paper holders and small trash can.

Put one of those jet hand dryers on wall and very functional utility.

Not a 1/2.

It's called a 'Pittsburgh Toilet'.

Sorry sir, the subject bathroom is considered 1/2 bath. It would likely pass all code on 1/2 bath requirements. Hopefully.

How many 1/2 baths do you know where you can do laundry? It may need upgrade on adjustment. Hopefully it has private access.

It needs some kind of ingress/egress that is private.

My grandfather had problems with constipation. He had stack of magazines next to toilet. I was young and he would disappear. Before he would disappear, he would say I am going to library. LOL

I have another question that I am not clear on. Is this laurndry/ 1/2 bath in basement or above level?

How many ingress/egress does it have?

If it passes code being urban?

See?

There could be health and safety issues especially if it is below ground level.

If it is below ground level, it could also serve as storm shelter and be registered with fire department.

I am not expecting you to be code professional, but if I were you, I would contact local code enforcement and ask.

Put notes in your work file.

you have done your due diligence at that point. Make point on your limitations in areas you are not a professional in.

I just had a crazy situation where there was a sink and shower, but no toilet in that bathroom. Is that a half bath?
