Spent the last 3 days in Columbus, very friendly place - Met some folks nationwide for a conference on Royalty Owners... Impressive size your OSU...Enjoyed it.

Just be glad you were not there during the Winter months. The wind blows off of the lake and it gets really cold.

It's a long way from Lake Erie to Columbus.

Terrel, did you get over to the old German Village? Great place for deli food and German food.

Just the same. It gets cold when the wind blows off of the lake.

In my 2010-2011 trips I went thru Ohio and it was chilly then - I was on snow from Indianapolis to Columbus until I got ahead of the front. I think it was 16 for a high at both Williamsport and Scranton, PA that first trip.

No but we ate at the Zoo...."Dinner with the Critters" with emphasis on the "with" as the prime rib was super but I did notice a forlorn Zebra looking our way...... It was quite warm but our meeting schedule was pretty intense. I am on the board and our first day started at 1 pm, with the meeting quite intense until 5. Day 2 was a series of rapid fire 30 minute talks to the group from various views and groups. Someone claims there were some anti-fracking pickets outside, but I never saw any. We actually had 3 sessions going at the same time on day 3 and I was hosting one speaker during that time in addition to try to cherry pick the talks I wanted to hear...

My speaker was John Harpole who consults to gas buyers and sellers and has been to China to teach capitalism to the Commies there.. :D.. He is also big on making energy available to the poor. The below is a good read. from the WSJ... Mercatur's founder and president was the man I introduced.
Thanks to the lower price for natural gas, families saved roughly $32.5 billion in 2012. (That's 7.4 billion MMBTUs of residential use of natural gas times the $4.40 reduction in price.) The windfall to all U.S. natural gas consumers—industrial and residential—was closer to $110 billion. This is greater than the annual income of all of the residents in 14 states in 2011.
Nat gas prices fell when supplies began rising in the mid-2000s and the cost of energy to consumers has fallen far below what the most efficient solar panel and windmill "renewable" can offer or ever will offer.

Fall is a great time in Ohio. For many, the best time of the year.

I am glad the weather cooperated and you didn't get hit with an early winter storm.
