Possibly Relocating From New York

Hi --I am a Certified FHA appraiser possibly relocating to Austin, and wanted to know ifanyone has any advise for working the Austin market. I have done many complex reports ranging from 20,000,000 estates to historic homes, and vacant land to coop units and condos as well as multi families. I wanted to see what the general breakdown is of many of the assignments. I'm guessing mostly 1004's and the average fee for a non - complex assignment. Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Once you jump the hoops to getting a license !!! then it probably is just a matter of developing some clients.

Have a bunch of current clients that also lend in Texas and called the state and they told me I had to fill a form for same certification and of course pay the fee So hopefully won't have to jump through many hoops to get that done, although may take a few weeks to a month. Just trying to get a sense of the market there and any insider info that would be pertinent. Thanks much for the reply

I have a question for you, as I know Texasis a non-disclosure state, what tax based source do you use for your comps other than MLS? Thanks again so much
