Anyone received the new manual yet?

No I havent recieved it. Has it been sent out?

I have not received one. I do not know when they are to be mailed, but I would think early enough for us to review it before we do an appraisal in 2008.

any new changes in USPAP will not take effect until July 1, 2008 new books probibly won't be arriving until march or april.

GUESS AGAIN ! They are in effect as of 01/01/2008

WOW! I still haven't gotten mine yet but I just looked at one of the others in my office and saw the effective date.

Nothing like giving us plenty of time to read and understand any new changes huh.

I ordered mine three months ago, plenty of time to get familiar with the changes. Over all no real earth shattering changes IMO. The most significant has been discussed in other threads. Statement 10 is no more and the Supplemental Standard rule is gone. This IMO opinion puts the an even greater need for the Residential Appraiser to have an engagement letter prior to every assignment with a scope of work and the type of loan the report would be used for and not just some ridiculous order form.
