It was a pleasure to meet everyone in person. :)
I believe our meeting yesterday went well, and will continue to improve. I second the motion to cover Excel and its potentials, and IMO one major topic per meeting is a good idea. (Hopefully leaving a little time for discussion of new problems/questions, etc)
As for the reviews, I appreciate and respect everyones opinions and critique, and hope to utilize this to improve my reports. Sometimes 'it's hard to see the trees for the forest' and I now have specific areas to target. Thank you.
(Sorry John that my reviews weren't tougher, wait 'till I GMST)
Brian, I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to organize this and be there. Anything I can do to help out, let me know. Hopefully we can find out what the state requires in a work file so we can set a standard.

I also want to say that the meeting went great, it was well worth the hour drive. I have learned so much from the 2 hrs and the peer review and took all the comments appropraitely. I am already in the process of beefing up the appropraite parts of my report to further support my conclusion.

Thank's everyone for participating. I am excited to meet again.

Brian, if you get a chance, can you send us the infor for snag it. Sounds like something I can use.

Ditto here. Great to finely put real faces to the names. I see these meeting to be a excellent tool for discussion and sharing ideas and knowledge.

I don't know how to effectively pull it off, but a "lesson" in how to create those great EXCEL charts and graphs would be great.:peace:

Oh ya, Thanks for the SNAGIT tip. Downloaded it last night an all ready put it to ues. Great tool!!

I AM BUMM'IN!!!!!! I haven't been on here for a while and would have loved to come and meet everyone. I will have to keep tabs on the forum so I don't miss the next one.

The only thing I noticed was that this post kinda changed from joining together (the original direction I thought it was going) to basically having a peer run education class? Before you beat me up :peace:, there is absoulutely nothing wrong with education and it sounds like it really went well. Like I said, I would have loved to went.

I was just excited, cause as you gander over the course of history, nothing really happens or changes untill it effects enough people and the numbers of people change the problem. I too would rather compete with 100 competant appraisers than a single fraudulant one. I believe the truth is that appraisers that are performing fraudulant work are well educated and know exactly what they are doing. Any of us that have done reviews can usually distiguish between incompatence and fraud. m2:

Don't get me wrong, I am still excited about this meeting and I didn't even know about it untill now. I would be very interested in attending the next one if I can (hopefully a next one is in the works). I'll keep my eye on the forum a little better.

The one burning question I do have is, what did everyone wear? Was this a causual meeting or did everyone dress to impress?

Men were mostly in dinner jackets (white tie) and the ladies were mostly in black sequined gowns.:dancefool:A good time was had by all...

Send a PM to Brian K. and ask him to put you on the e-mail list.
