What do you use for a data base?

Given you and I are probably going to swap data...looks like we are the only ones that might care.

We will just have to design our own, the biggest and the best one ever, then we will corner the market, and everyone will have to buy it and we will become controllers of the Appraiser Data Base....and we will charge big fee and become rich!!!

And then we make all commercial appraisers join an AMC in order to use our super-duper data base and we will take half their fees, and we will become zillionaires!!!

So if no one wants to answer the question that is exactly what we will do!

We had a consultant develop one for us. Works nice. Is SQL based and runs in Access. Can export to excel. Can import from spreadsheets...works for us.

The plan sounds slightly familiar...

Except I do not have time for the world takeover bid, I really just want to swap data.

Fine, party pooper.........

Then back to the original question.......

Can you swap data easily with other firms that are also on DataComp?

The better question is what sources are using appraisers to populate their data bases?

Appraiser data is the new gold standard and appraisers are new the economic 'slave' trade, IMO. Working without just compensation minus the physical abuse. Now mental abuse is another topic.

Is it too much to ask...does the stupid database allow you to swap data with another user.

There must not be a forum rule against trolls...
