Continued Tax Breaks for the Rich?

Trickle down economics is nothing but a lie. Great chart, I was looking at it earlier on a link someone posted. I think the numbers might even be more drastic.

Ronnie the so called conservative bankrupted 8 million people with his real estate tax in the mid 80's, the 8 million people were millionaires he bankrupted with this "progressive" real estate tax.
Ronnie also expanded all kinds of Gov't, couldn't go anywhere without his wife's consultation with a quija board or astrologer and for some reason he is the darling of the conservative movement!
Truth is so strange one couldn't make this stuff up.

Not counting state and local government spending, the federal government spent almost $3.5 trillion in 2010. Lets say there are 350 million men, women, children and illegals in the country. That's $10,000 per individual.

How much of that $10,000 did you get?

Maybe you would prefer the government to spend $41,000 per individual?

Guess what? That is about $14.5 trillion, the size of the national debt.

Your share of the national debt is just $41,000, so when are you deadbeats going to pay up?

The top 20% of income-earners paid 86.3% of all income taxes in 2006 (results via my quick internet search).

Yeah, let's tax 'em more.

Class warfare is alive and well.

The problem is...and has been...and continues to be...not that we don't tax enough, we (Federal gov't.) spend way beyond our means. But, there are many "clients" of large government who just love the status quo (witness the recent events in Wisconsin).

I've long observed that if enough people (and, voters) are beholden to government for benefits, those people will continue to vote to fund the behemoth via ever more taxes. Many who govern play this game quite well.

You should quit confusing the conspiracy theories and class warfare with facts.

Does the word entitlement appear in the constitution? So why do so many feel entitled, and why is the greatest drain on revenues from any source entitlements?

BTW, if you haven't noticed, the top 2 percent aren't living on entitlements, while they pay the freight tax wise and create the jobs for the middle class to do their parrt to support the "entitled".:new_smile-l:

Let's stop the corporate welfare, dairy, cattle, tobacco, medical and industrial welfare while we are at?
Whether you like it or not the whole economy is propped up by the Gov't (actually the FED) and we will see QE3 in a short while.

Anyone who thinks this is a free market economy has no idea what is going on.

With the price of oil and other commodities rapidly rising, both from fear of supply disruption and the fear of continued printing of money by developed countries, as some price point, the U.S. economy will shut down as people cannot and will not participate in a normal consumption behavior.

Once again mass layoffs will occur.

The problem is there are no bullets left in the fiscal spending gun. All fiscal spending will be monetized by the FED, which will bring on hyperinflation.

Just another result of that trickle down spending by the government.

Shouldn't the bottom 50% of wage earners pay at least some income tax? Some pay no income tax, but still get a big refund.

Good diversionary tactic...blame this whole economic mess on handouts to the little guy. Whatever the rich are doing to become even more rich seems to be working quite well. Has nothing to do with entitlements and everything to do with greed and political corruption. Don't see them creating jobs either with all their new-found wealth....must just be hoarding it away somewhere. How patriotic. The rich and the politicians do not make this country great...it is the honest, hard-working people who are struggling to earn a living, pay their taxes and raise their children. During the Viet Nam war, politicians and the rich did not send their children to fight. Most of the wounded and killed probably grew up receiving entitlements. Their families couldn't afford to send their sons to college in order to avoid the draft.
