I'm all for borrowers asking questions to the appraiser regarding their locality etc while making the initial appointment over the phone, but i just had a borrower deny me access because based on his opinion, my accent was obvious that i was not from around here!
No shiz Sherlock, i'm from Europe i inform him, and not only have i been involved in appraising for 12 of my 14 years here, i have lived in is market for the entire time.
It sounded suspicious to him, no dice. And we are not talking about an old timey redneck here, this man and his wife are educators.

I was watching a House re-run the other night and was amazed that Hugh Laurie did a pretty good job of imitating an American English speaking person doing a very poor imitation of a British accent.

What that has to do with rednecks in Tennessee, I have no idea.

Don't get me started on the House Tv show. My last name is House also, i have a British accent, people calling me Dr. House and talking to me about a TV show i have never seen was only amusing the first two thousand times it happened.

And, I watch very little TV, because most of it is pretty bad.
