Using MLS Photos

he insisted that we take a different route back to the office after we'd looked at property, saying that if you never drove a different street you might miss something.

I do resent the silly pile on requirements about the currency of the photos, or requirements about including things in the photos that "prove" I actually was at the property at a time determined by the client or its AMC - those are simply outworkings caused by other appraisers not doing what they said they did. But the Golden Rule is in play, and the Lola principle applies.

(And my bold above!) But, whether we like it or not, for now, that's what we have to do! ...and my conversation with the wifey is still gonna be:
"I gotta run out for a few, babe"
"Comp pics?"
"Yup!"

1) When you enlist and sign up for the artillery, you shouldn't complain about the noise.
2) Refer to the Lola principle above (Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.)

Now I'm going out for a few - not comp photos.

drove him several times - he insisted that we take a different route back to the office after we'd looked at property, saying that if you never drove a different street you might miss something.
We do that in Oklahoma to keep the outlaws and Indians from ambushing us... :)

Our Ahhh friend was commenting (not so nicely) on the AF members and is now getting fried in his local forum, too. :clapping:

Thanks for posting this RES. It was a good read.

I like how he calls me out on it (edit: post #14 on the link) "...The one with the *****whooped dude trying to get away from his wifey using the excuse of comp photos? Hell, most appraisers just make their wifey go take them... Whats wrong with this dude"

FTR, I am definitely not "whooped" and happily married

I told you guys umpteen posts ago that this was a waste of bandwidth. I love how he admits that he's "probably wrong" but is waiting on an official declaration of his error. That will most likely come in another form. Sad thing is there is a following of like minded appraisers and who knows what other influences have occurred.

maybe time to shut this one down Mod's?

img581.jpg I rue the day traffic is so bad I cannot manage a decent shot stopping in a residential street... and most of mine are going to look like this...
