Louisiana Is Getting Ready To Settle With The Ftc Whether The La. Board Likes It Or Not

The saddest part of this mess is that residential appraisers who pound out 1004s are so blinded by the whole C&R crusade they can't (or refuse) to see they are fighting the wrong war.

For want of a nail......
:clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

Maybe not totally the wrong war,

Just look at it from a different angle.

Yes, because public trust should be the issue and the market structure is messed up. Fees should be separated for more than one reason.

Fastest and cheapest is bad for public trust. It is a dichotomy.

Think about how much more credible and reliable you could be with more time.

It is sometimes entertaining to see the tangents that various threads will spin off to. This tit-for-tat about whether or not Louisiana has a budget crisis is pretty funny, especially given this:

Several of the posters in this (and other) thread(s) simply just choose to ignore facts that are inconvenient to them and tend to repeat the same ridiculous questions and comments incessantly as if they think that repeating something enough times makes it true. These people either are not well grounded in reality or just choose to ignore reality when its not convenient...several of them also do not display the ability to engage in reasonable and rational discussion as their ability to rationally analyze things on certain subjects has clearly been overwhelmed by their emotions (if they ever had the ability to logically and rationally analyze anything to start with). That is why these folks are not worth engaging with any longer.

My refusal to further engage with these people won't stop them from continuing to post utter nonsense, so the entertainment factor will remain high for those who are amused by their silliness. However, it is too bad that people outside the profession have the ability to view the AF and I can only hope that most people realize that these folks are not reflective of most of the appraiser profession.

Don't carry you feelings on your sleeves!

Where is JT? Are y'all on the outs? Lol

If the angle is "the business has changed and will never be what it once was" I'll agree. But I doubt it, some appraisers refuse to move forward.

and in what direction would "forward" be for appraisers?

Get out of the industry?

Shut up and do what they're told and like it?

Join together in class action cases?

Make protest signs and tie up an intersection someplace?

Where is "forward"?

Since people outside the profession can read...Why don't you just knock it off with the admonishing, verbose lectures, insults, belittlement and constant opining about irrational discussions and other peoples ability to rationally analyze. You ignored, didn't have the cahoonas to answer a simple yes or no question as to whether you have access or are privy to LA Boards finances, yet felt free to generalize and comment upon. Your inability to put yourself on the line by answering a simple question is transparent and embarrassing.

And that's because your conjecture, presumptions and generalizations make you look foolish - because you do NOT have access to the information but refuse to admit it. It might be a small fact (you refuse to acknowledge) but since you are obsessed with presenting factual data you should be the last person critiquing other people.
