We were tested, hours required, the old broker-appraiser system was broken.

Most of the broker-appraisers by us keep right on working. A few had to take some courses, but they actually did know how to appraise. And the initial test was a joke.

how does one get paid to smoke dope? it's not my thing but if i can get paid to do it then my appraisal career is over no need ever again for anything CYA - my job is to get high so i would be expected to do things wrong at work!

I've never understood the shortage myth, it's actually so simple. Call any hometown bank USA which weathered the bailout buyout and ask them if there is an appraiser shortage and you'll get a chuckle.Call Polyvinyl chloride or Koasterdashian AMC and you'll get a "yes, there is a shortage, it's actually a crisis". The difference of opinion is about $200

OMG...everyone but the COW state appraisers have been weighing in with their hypotheticals and theories re shortages in their respective markets.. It's not like any of the COW state appraisers dont participate here. Those who could provide better insight stay silent

it is disingenuous duplicity I find contemptable. Teach your trainees well but just make sure the report is back in 48 hrs.pft...
