Hi Everyone, what is the best text book and/or software to use to study for the Certified Licensing exam? Also if anyone has taken any online study prep classes, please share the info. Greatly appreciated!!

I used the CompuCram test prep. Appraisal Institute practice exam questions and I reviewed the FAQs from USPAP. Hope this helps.

That's what I'm doing. CR not CG though. Not sure what the differences between the CR and CG test are, specifically. My assumptions/observations are that the CG test has more questions overall, and a different proportion of Q's with respect to the category of questions, but both are built off of the same test bank of questions. Could be wrong.

Some digging around the forum indicated the CompuCram option to be potentially less rigorous than actual questions required on the exam. That makes it a hard pass, IMO, coupled with it also being the most expensive prep option (from what I've seen).

I've been doing my own research and it sounds like the books from AI are the way to go along with studying USPAP. I'm skeptical of Scott Williamson's Appraisal prep course as, A. Its $295 and B. the website looks like it's from 1993.
