This Won't end Well for Germany

This side he supports does, that is an undecided Civil War over there and he is placing his thumb on the scale for the Russian-speaking side. It doesn't take a big leap in the imagination to picture death squads erasing non-Russian-speaking political enemies over there once he disarms them. And there are lots of them. Similar to what happened next door in the former Yugoslavia when the country broke apart along ethnic lines.

Here is a map of Europe, circa 1990. How about "a couple of doors down"? 1643246147266.png

This is *almost* like citing an article in "Volkischer Beobachter" or "Pravda" as a reliable source ... View attachment 58735View attachment 58736View attachment 58737
Since the headline bothered you here's the same story in long format –

On October 4, Trump told congressional Republican leaders the only reason he had called Zelensky was at the urging of Energy Secretary Rick Perry, saying Perry wanted him to discuss a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant and that Trump had not even wanted to make the call. However, there is no mention of LNG in the publicly released summary of the conversation, and text messages exchanged among aides who were setting up the phone call made no mention of Perry, instead suggesting that Giuliani was the primary mover.[378] Perry had been the administration's official representative at Zelensky's inauguration in May. During that trip; he pressured Zelensky to fire board members of Naftogaz, the national oil and gas company of Ukraine, and informed government and industry officials that the Trump administration wanted the entirety of Naftogaz's supervisory board replaced.[107] Perry denied pressing for change at Naftogaz in a press conference on October 7, describing that as "a totally dreamed up story".[108] On October 10, however, Perry was issued a subpoena by the House Intelligence Committee, the House Oversight Committee, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, partially concerning his interactions with Naftogaz.[109][110][111]

I like to listen to RT programming as well however I am always cognizant of the fact that I'm listening to state controlled Russian propaganda while doing so.

I may have fallen off the turnip truck yesterday, but I managed to not have it roll over my head. The smorgasbord of "news" programming in the US is pretty depressing. We think that freedom of the press means that the outlets whose news we pay attention to are reasonably well informed, reasonably competent, and reasonably not biased - none of which is very true. The "legacy" network outlets give little beyond sound bites and repetitive video clips, and propagandize by not broadcasting "uncomfortable". The vegetable soup networks appear to all use the same people for writing the stories they cover, and to have the same managers who choose the same stories for those networks to air (and those sometimes eerily at the same time. Fox has "programs" and "shows" and manages to show a lot of thigh. (That said, I think that the Fox Business channel does a pretty good job with financial news, and it does have a reader who doesn't have one of those clipped, snipey New England accents, but talks with a genteel, almost Tidewater accent that is easy to listen to. OAN is unapologetically right "wing" (that''s for you, Mike) but has a much broader scope in the stories it covers. (Theirs is not as broad in scope as Al Jazeera'sm which had the added benefit of having the women reporting the news modestly attired.)

Separate line for PBS and NPA - dreck, outlandishly slanted, misleading by failing to mention facts that don't support whatever points of view they promote, from time to time: those entities are a domestic Radio Free Europe.

All that said, to slightly modify the statement in the quoted post, when I listen to most of what bounces from the satellitd dish to the screen in our house. "...I am always cognizant of the fact that I'm listening to state controlled ***** propaganda while doing so."

It's prudent to look at several/many "news" sources and to try to discern and understand who owns them and what they're premoting.

So, you prefer him...

Just kidding. I like Guttfeld's quirky sense of humor and sarcasm.
